PromptPay QR Installation Guide

PromptPay is a digital eWallet in Thailand and has over 5.3 billion transactions. PromptPay allows users to send and receive funds via bank transfer including making payments on their mobile phone using a QR code. PromptPay has over 21 banks including all the major banks in Thailand.

Before you begin

Make sure you received the email from Oceanpayment operation team, that contains:

1. Account Number
2. Terminal Number
3. Secure Code
4. The name of payment method

You can choose ether option 1 or option 2 to install payment plug-in

Option 1 Installation Steps

1. Go to Shopify App Store PromptPay QR, click install.

2. Enter Terminal and Secure Code, click save.

3. The website is redirected to the payment setting page in Shopify, click Activate to enable the payment function.

Option 2 Installation Steps

1. Click this link to direct install payment plug-in.

2. Enter Terminal and Secure Code, click save.

3. In the payment setting page in Shopify, click Activate to enable the payment function.

Authorization

This feature is set to automatic authorization by default.

1. The default setting for transactions is automatic authorization: Payment capture method -> Manage -> Automatically at checkout, At this point, pre-authorized orders need to be authorized in the Oceanpayment account backend.

2. When setting up a transaction for manual authorization: Payment capture method -> Manage -> Manually, Pre-authorized orders at this point require an authorization action in the Shopify backend.

Unistallation

1. Go to Settings -> Payments, find PromptPay QR payment.

2. Click Deactivate - Uninstall to finsh uninstallation.
